A microcredit project involves providing around $50 to each woman to enable her to start a small business. It can be any business she chooses. The women select leaders from their womens/midwifery clubs who manage the programs and finances for the community.
Other than donations there is no other way that these women will ever be able to get the funds to start small businesses. The $50 is life changing. Donate now.
For widows, single women and victims of rape, micro-credit is the only answer. Isolated and/or rejected by their families and the wider community, rape victims and widows have to support themselves and raise children on their own. MHCD’s micro-credit program gives them hope and a purpose. Women develop a sense of achievement when they can create their own income. The long-term benefits of such support cannot be overstated.

Rice, corn, wheat, cassava, ground nuts, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, mangoes, avacados, bananas, pineapples, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens.
Soap, bread, groceries, beer, hair dressing, make up, fashion, shoe sales, dress making, mobile phone charging, solar electrician, car mechanic, bicycle repairs.
Once women have money everyone has a better life. Without income the women will just stay very poor. When they get an income, women start sending their children to school and getting good food for the whole family.” If women can start their own business they can set themselves and their families on a path to stability and sustainability.
